Recently, we announced that Greencore Homes is now B Corp certified.
B Corp certification is a rigorous, independent standard that assesses how a business performs across governance, workers, community, environment and customers. To achieve certification, companies must score 80+ on the ‘B Impact Assessment’.
We have achieved a score of 114.5.
For context, the average business completing the assessment scores around 50, and many certified B Corps sit in the 80–100 range. In the housebuilding and development sector, where B Corp certification is still rare, scores at this level are very unusual.
This matters because B Corp isn’t about intent or pledges; it’s about verified performance. It reflects how we design and build homes, how we treat people, how decisions are governed, and how long-term impact is prioritised alongside commercial success.
For us, it’s an important external benchmark, and a useful reference point as we continue to raise standards in a sector that needs to move faster.
